Marni for H&M: The Full Lookbook is Here!

.. And it looks pretty amazing. What immediately grabs my attention are the signature necklaces of the brand that have been at the top of my obsessions’ list a while ago: Marni statement accessories have the power to dramatically change the simplest look and give it much of a stronger personality. I like also the jackets (the dotted one and the shiny black one) and tees, painted in those intellectual tribal chic prints that are signature of the brand. Another pleasant surprise: the man! This capsule collection is really interesting from A to Z. The jackets are a mixture of casual sportswear lines and eccentric bright colors that give to this line the status of an urban classic: the lines of the suit is classy but contemporary (look at the nice calf-lenght and cigarette line of trousers), shirts are that nice mix of prints and bicolor that can suit every occasion, and the ties are proper intellectual cool. .. Ed e’ sorprendente. A catturare subito la mia attenzione sono le collane-signature del brand che sono state in cima alla lista delle mie ossessioni un po’ di tempo fa: gli accessori statement di Marni hanno il potere di cambiare totalmente il piu’ semplice dei look e dargli una personalita’ ben delineata. Mi piacciono molto anche le giacche (quella a pois a quella dal corpetto lucido) e le t-shirts, con le stampe intellectual-chic tribali tipiche del marchio. Un’altra piacevole sorpresa riguarda la collezione uomo: questa capsule collection e’ davvero interessante dalla A alla Z. Le giacche: un misto di linee casual sportswear e colori fluo brillanti che conferiscono a questa collezione lo status di urban classic: la linea del completo e’ elegante ma attuale (da notare la linea a sigaretta dei pantaloni e la loro lunghezza giusto alla caviglia), le camicie sono un bel mix di stampe e bicolore adatto per ogni occasione, e le cravatte rispecchiano il perfetto intellectual cool. L’appuntamento e’ negli stores H&M, 8 Marzo.

Vintage Wonders: My Moon Boot

Since ’90s are back, I had to show you my old pair of Moon Boot that I had to wear today, since I am in Italy these days and it’s endlessly snowing. These mountain boots generated a real craze in the beginning of the ’90s, and since then they became some of the most loved brands of boots for skiers and mountain lovers. At that time I just didn’t want a “common” type in just one colour: I wanted the most different, most colourful ones! (I’ve always been a very simple person since forever). And so I did find what I wanted, and I’m absolutely surprised, I must admit, now that I’m getting them out of the closet, that they are perfectly on trend for this season in an aztec graphic, one of the print trends of this winter and for the upcoming Spring 2012. Don’t they look awesome? They always make you feel like an astronaut stepping on the moon when you wear them, and they are still as comfortable as I remembered! Poiche’ gli anni Novanta son tornati di moda non potevo non farmi vedere i miei vecchi Moon Boot che ho dovuto indossare oggi, dato che mi trovo in Italia in questi giorni e sta nevicando senza fine! Negli anni ’90 questi doposci avevano scatenato una vera e propria mania, e da quel momento sono diventati alcuni dei marchi piu’ amati per chi scia e ama la montagna. All’epoca io comunque non volevo accontentarmi di un modello “comune” in un solo colore: volevo il piu’ diverso e il piu’ colorato (la solita personcina semplice). Cosi’, dopo averli trovati, ora mi ritrovo sorpresa a rivederli tirandoli fuori dall’armadio, e a scoprire che sono in una stampa aztec, uno dei trend di questo inverno e della primavera del 2012. ..Non sono fantastici? Ti fanno sempre sentire come un astronauta che mette piede sulla luna quando li indossi, e devo dire che sono ancora comodissimi come ricordavo. Quando in citta’ le temperature sono artiche l’ideale e’ indossarli con leggings, una grossa pelliccia (finta, ovviamente), e una bella hobo bag per contenere tutto quello che ci serve in queste -comodissime- spedizioni invernali verso il lavoro..

Then I chose two very Versace pieces: the black one (£79.99) is really Gianni, it reminds me of the black and gold buttoned and pinned pieces with a over the knees lenght wore by Linda and the supermodels of the 90′s. The yellow one (£129.99) reminds me more of the Donatella creations, especially for the short A-line and the bright lemon colour:
